Timothy J. Fox is the president of Barcon LLC, as well as a business partner.   Tim oversees the operation of the business and is active in design and engineering, while maintaining customer relationships and sales activities.  Prior to joining Barcon, Tim was a Project Engineer with Vavco LLC, and worked with E&P clients in designing and installing well pad facilities (dry gas and wet gas), compression stations and pipeline facilities.  The majority of his professional career was spent managing a research and development center for SPX Corporation, a global leader in compressed gas dehydration and filtration.  His primary focus has been in the areas of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, filtration and separation.  During his time with SPX, he was awarded numerous patents pertaining to membrane technology design, breathing air technology and dehydration equipment techniques.  Tim also was a participant in ISO Standards committees pertaining to the testing and verification of dehydration and filtration equipment, as well as being involved in various compressed air industry organizations, serving as a past president and board member for many years.  He attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University (Magna Cum Laude) and his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

R. Allen Hodge is a principle partner of Barcon LLC and the owner of Steelcon LLC, Hodge Construction LLC, SH Design LLC, Amron LLC and FH Equip LLC. Allen’s career spans over two decades of experience in structural steel design, building construction, overhead crane systems, vessel design (pressurized and non-pressurized), midstream piping systems and slug catchers / harp systems. In addition to maintaining his Professional Engineer license in numerous states (PA, WV, OH, NY, OK, TX, CO, UT), Allen is also an AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWEng) and Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).   He has successfully developed in-house quality assurance systems for his businesses to qualify them under ISO9001:2015, AISC, ASME and the National Board.  Allen also operates an inspection services company (Amron LLC) focused on material testing and non-destructive examination (NDE) for the natural gas industry.  Allen is proficient in the use of structural finite element analysis software, pressure vessel design software, weldment design and AutoCAD.  While attending Youngstown State University, he received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Engineering Technology (emphasis on Structural Design).  Afterwards, he completed his Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree, also from Youngstown State University.  Allen holds design patents for his work in liquid control systems for midstream natural gas applications.

Roman J. Bargo is the Manager of Equipment Refurbishment and Product Development at Barcon LLC. In this role, he leads all aspects of the refurbishment business, as well as assisting in equipment manufacturing and various engineering and development projects.  Prior to joining Barcon, Roman held the position of Engineering Manager at Legacy Measurement Solutions, where he was responsible for leading a group of designers and engineers in the manufacturing of natural gas production equipment.  While at Legacy, he assisted in component specifications, ASME Section VIII pressure vessel design, ASME B31.3 and B31.8 calculations, overall equipment design and customer interfaces.  Before joining Legacy, Roman served as an Engineer with Vavco LLC, an engineering firm specializing in oil and gas production and design.  While at Vavco, he sized equipment, piping and valving, created process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and supported the drafting department.  His field work included instrument and control (I&C) installation, as-built documentation and site supervision.  Roman’s field experience began with Chief Oil and Gas as a Production Engineer in northeast Pennsylvania, gaining experience in Construction, Drilling, Completions and Production.  Attaining his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, with a secondary study in Energy and Fuels, Roman received numerous academic awards and graduated Cum Laude.  He is currently registered as an Engineer Intern in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is working towards his Professional Engineering license.

Joel T. Hodge recently joined Barcon as the Lead Design Engineer.  In this role, Joel is responsible for all mechanical and electrical designs, assuring that the end product meets and exceeds the customer’s expectations.  Joel interfaces with the fabrication services, testing services and product documentation services. Prior to joining Barcon, Joel worked as a Design Engineer and Engineering Coordinator with Dearing Compressor and Pump.  While there, he was responsible for the engineering and construction of natural gas compression packages and became well-versed in designing in a 3D CAD environment.  His work encompassed the mechanical, structural and electrical design, as well as the fabrication for these large systems.  Joel was also involved with customer interface and field start-up.  Before moving to Dearing, Joel was a Systems Analyst and Systems Designer for Roth Brothers, Inc., working with computerized control systems for lighting and HVAC applications.  Joel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Youngstown State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Amber Hodge is a degreed mechanical engineer who also serves as the QC Manager and Scheduler for Steelcon LLC, a partner-company of Barcon LLC.  Additionally, Amber provides managerial direction for Amron LLC, another partner-company of Barcon.  In her roles with these companies, Amber assists Barcon in the areas of quality control, product documentation, non-destructive examination (NDE) services, pressure vessel design and mechanical engineering.  Amber has experience in developing quality systems (according to ISO 9001:2015), operating procedures, emergency procedures, piping code interpretations and ASME “U” and “R” stamp procedures.  She has been instrumental in developing various Weld Performance Qualifications (WPQ), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) for Steelcon LLC, and is well-versed in ASME Section VII, B31.3 and B31.8.  Educationally, Amber earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (minor in Mathematics) from Youngstown State University and recently completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same university.  She is certified as an Engineer Intern in the State of Ohio and is pursuing her Professional Engineer license.

Michael Koopman is a Mechanical Engineer for Steelcon LLC, a partner-company of Barcon.  Michael has an extensive background in the areas of mechanical and process engineering through use of various software-enabled tools.  This design work encompasses structures, mechanical components, refrigeration process equipment, chemical process equipment and gas-liquid separation equipment.  Michael’s most recent project involves separating bulk liquid slugs from high capacity natural gas pipelines.  He is competent in various finite element analysis (FEA) software packages and is considered an expert in linear, non-linear and modal analysis for structures.  Michael is also well-versed in using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software to evaluate various fluid, separation and heat transfer situations.  A degreed engineer in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, Michael has authored several technical publications on his work in computer-aided design.
