HEATER TREATERS
Heater Treaters (also known as Flash Gas Separators) are devices that aid in preparing light oils (condensate) for storage and shipment. The condensate collected in the GPUs is directed to the heater treater where it is temporarily held for additional gravitational settling, to remove any water that may be present. It is heated so that dissolved gases will be released. This stabilizes the fluid, reducing the Reed Vapor Pressure (RVP) to levels that are approved for condensate transportation. The released vapors are collected and sent to Sales or a combustor. Barcon Heater Treaters are designed with generously-sized vessels for increased residence times and optimum separation performance. The product includes all required dump valves and piping, fuel gas delivery devices and instrumentation, and electronic burner management system.
