Coalescing Filters provide the highest level of aerosol removal efficiency – often greater than 99.99% at 0.1 microns.  This high level of performance is achieved by flowing the gas stream through filter elements and capturing the submicron aerosols in the filter media. The entrained droplets then coalesce to form larger droplets which will easily drain from the element due to gravitational forces.  Filter elements are selected for the particular flow rates, pressures, liquid types and liquid removal efficiencies required.
